Joining the South Central WI MLS

MLS membership is a company membership, not an individual membership. Access to the MLS is available only to those who are Realtor members of a local Association of Realtors.

If you are a new agent joining a real estate or appraisal firm that is already a member of the South Central Wisconsin MLS (SCWMLS), you need only to join a local Realtors Association to gain access to the SCWMLS. Once you are a member, you will be added as an authorized user of the SCWMLS under your company's SCWMLS membership. The SCWMLS covers a geographic area that is serviced mainly by the two local Realtor Associations listed below. Check with your firm for guidance as to which local association you should join.

If you are a broker or an appraiser and your company is not currently a member of the South Central WI MLS, click here for the MLS Participant Agreement. This form must be submitted along with the appropriate fees. You must be a member of a local Realtor Association before membership in the South Central WI MLS is approved and access granted. See instruction above.

Paragon and Agent Transfers

When an agent transfers from one company to another, or to a different branch within the same company, please make sure the MLS has been notified of phone number and email address changes. Click here for a transfer form. In addition, please note the following that will need to be adjusted in Paragon:

Access Level Options for your Agents

By default, agents are input into Paragon with an access level of Realtor. This access allows them to modify the following fields on their listings: photos, virtual tours, associated documents, public remarks, broker-to-broker remarks, features, showing instructions, open house date/time, broker open date/time/comments, map location, assessments, and taxes. With Realtor access, an agent can enter a property as a CMA Subject Property which can be converted to a live listing by someone with a higher level of security.

The MLS Participant Broker can request an agent's access level be increased to Admin Realtor. This access allows them to add their own listings and to modify all fields for their listings. If the MLS Participant Broker wants them to have access to add and modify all listings for the entire firm, they can request an upgrade to Manager access.

Non-member administrative personnel are entered with an access level of Office Staff, and they have access to add and modify all listing in the firm. As listing changes, along with who made them, are recorded in an audit, we suggest each of your administrative personnel have their own login. Due to the high level of access Office Staff have, please notify the MLS immediately when you have a change in administrative personnel.

You can see who in your firm has what access by selecting Membership - Membership Roster - and typing in your company name. Access level is listed under the Agent Type column.
