Within Paragon, each agent is assigned a User Code and a User ID. If you are asked by a vendor (i.e. website provider) to provide your MLS ID, they could be referring to either of these codes, depending on which field they have incorporated for their product. You can find both of these numbers within the Paragon Agent Roster. Click Membership from the top menu bar, and then Agent Roster. Enter your last name within either the Agent Name or Agent ID field. The results will display both your User Code and your User ID. You can either clarify as to which field they are looking for, or just send them both codes.
Often times you can spot these scams as there are more than a few misspellings in the emails, and the structure of sentences may be awkward or very formal. This is a result of language translation programs.
Along with the requirement to display the listing firm name in a prominent location, it is also required that the phone number or email address, as selected by the listing broker, be displayed with the listing firm name. Listing brokers can choose if they want their office phone, office email, listing agent phone, or listing agent email to be included in the MLS data sent for display on IDX/VOW public websites. This selection can be made within Paragon, by the broker or anyone in the firm with broker access.
Select Preferences from the top Paragon Menu
Under System Preferences, select IDX/VOW Contact Info
Select your desired contact info option from the drop down and Save
If your office phone or email needs to be updated in Paragon, send that request to member@wisre.com.
The contact information selected will be sent to IDX/VOW website providers for each new listing added going forward, and each existing listing when next modified.
If you do not make a selection, the default is to provide no contact information.
